RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 2 winner Lawrence Chaney has slammed those confusing the identities of fellow queens.
The 26-year-old became the first-ever Scottish champion of the competition series last year, with Bimini Bon-Boulash and Tayce coming as runners-up.
Since ruling the beloved show, the queen has enjoyed a slew of TV appearances, including on Celebrity Gogglebox, Celebrity Juice and The Great British Sewing Bee.
Lawrence was also handed their own show on the BBC, titled Tartan Around, which saw them head to the States for an outrageous adventure of a lifetime.
However, the TV star has recently taken to Twitter to point out the disrespect to themselves and drag culture for being confused with other queens.
Lawrence shared a picture of an article about Victoria Scone, who is currently competing in Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs the World, which instead showed an image of them.
They captioned the tweet: ‘It’s just got to stop.’
Lawrence’s fans were quick to support them, with one writing: ‘THIS SHOULDNT BE HAPPENING.’
‘What is it with this world and mixing up drag queens its downright disrespectful for all the queens involved,’ another commented.

Sharing their shock over the repeated mix-up, a social media account fumed: ‘Omg I don’t understand how this keeps happening, not only are you all completely different people, you don’t look the same, you all have different styles etc. It’s just not on, this is so disrespectful.’
Lawrence has previously defended Victoria Scone, who made Drag Race her-story by becoming the first cisgender woman to ever take part in the competition.
While numerous fans expressed their excitement over Victoria being cast, some people criticised her involvement, prompting the drag queen to release a statement on social media hitting back at trolls.

Lawrence, a supporter and close friend of Victoria, spoke previously to Metro.co.uk about the trolling Victoria has experienced since being announced as a star of the show, stating that in her opinion, the naysayers need to admit what the root of their disgruntlement is really about.

‘With Victoria Scone, I just want these trolls to admit that they’re misogynists. That’s truly what I want them to admit, because I’m sorry, how can it ever be wrong for a show to be more inclusive? How?’ Lawrence said.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is available to stream on iPlayer.
