England football team goalie Jordan Pickford is so hooked on Fortnite that he brought his gaming PC to the World Cup.

Jordan Pickford has been kept busy during Qatar 2022, so it’s only natural he wants to blow some steam off after a demanding match.

When the goalkeeper was asked what he does in his downtime, he revealed he likes to get a massage, hang out with his teammates, hit up the basketball court, and… play Fortnite.

In fact, Pickford likes Fortnite so much that he took his whole setup to the World Cup, so that he doesn’t miss a thing from Chapter 4 Season 1.

He also revealed that he often brings his gaming laptop when he plays matches out of the UK and even just when he’s playing an away match.

However, this time, his setup was extra special, as besides a powerful gaming laptop he also brought the monitor that he uses with his PC back home, as he grew tired of the small screen and wanted the ‘best frames.’

The whole thing took so much space that he was seen lugging around a huge, monogrammed computer case when he arrived at England’s training camp in Qatar.

When interviewer Josh Denzel saw the case, he commented that Pickford has a ‘proper bit of kit’, impressed with the lengths the footballer went for his gaming passion.

‘I’m not messing about. Next level that,’ Pickford said proudly.

Denzel then joked that Pickford ‘better be good’ at gaming, if he’s carrying all that around.

‘You know you’re serious about gaming when you’re not even on the consoles anymore. You’ve upgraded yourself,’ Denzel said.

More: Fortnite

As the goalkeeper is a well known fan of Fortnite, he’ll no doubt be jealous that England captain Harry Kane is an official skin in the game, along with a number of other famous footballers from other countries.

There might not be many more, though, as instead of partnering with FIFA for the World Cup, Fortnite took a different approach and launched its own football-themed skin line entitled Let Them Know

This likely means that no Qatar 2022-themed cosmetics, such as teams’ national kits, will be added to the battle royale.
