Mo Gilligan has announced that he will be heading out on tour in 2023, along with a group of emerging comics from the Black British circuit.

The comedian, 34, is developing the tour from his two sold-out Black British Takeover shows at the O2 Arena in December 2021 and October 2022.

Beginning at the O2 Apollo in Manchester on November 3, 2023, The Lateish Show host will tour the UK before finishing in Birmingham on December 7.

Next week, the multi-award winning comedian’s new musical gameshow That’s My Jam is set to premiere on the BBC, with December 17 the official start date.

Speaking about the tour, Mo said: ‘I’m really proud of the Black British comedy circuit. It’s where it all started for me and it’s full of so much incredible talent.’

He continued: ‘I’m absolutely honoured to be heading out on tour with these phenomenal comics to showcase even more history making line ups.’

Eddie Kadi, who hosted the Black British Takeover earlier this year, is set to join up with Mo once again for the upcoming shows.

I’m A Celebrity star Babatunde Aléshé was also featured on the line-up the shows, which played to audiences over almost 20,000.

After the opening show at Manchester’s O2 Apollo, Mo’s tour will head to Glasgow for a November 10 show at the SEC Armadillo.

The tour will then move from Scotland to Wales, where Mo’s show will host thousands at Cardiff’s International Arena on November 18.

London will be the penultimate destination for the tour, with an expected sell-out show to be held at the Eventim Apollo on November 30.

Tickets will go on general sale on Friday, December 6 at 10am.

Mo became popular during the 2010s when comedy videos uploaded to his YouTube account got the attention for American rapper Drake.

Since 2018, Mo has hosted The Big Narstie Show, along with Big Narstie, and was also featured on that year’s edition of Big Fat Quiz of the Year.

Since 2020, Mo has appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox and The Masked Singer UK – he replaced judge Ken Jeong on the singing gameshow.

In 2021, he appeared as a judge on spin-off show The Masked Dancer UK.
