GameCentral walks through all the major news and reveals from The Games Awards 2022, from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to Death Stranding 2.

It may be the biggest preview event of the year, and the closest thing video games have to the Oscars, but The Game Awards have been a slog to get through in previous years, with the endless adverts and pre-rendered trailers that tell you nothing about the games.

This year though was a lot more fun, and not just because of onstage antics involving the world’s longest acceptance speech and a fake Elden Ring developer.

Since there were very few major leaks, almost all the announcements were a surprise and most of them were shown off via actual game footage.

The only problem is that it started at 12.30am, and went on for three and a half hours, so if you didn’t stay up until the small hours here’s what you missed.

Or rather here’s everything we’ve written up so far, with more news to come throughout the day.
