Alison Hammond couldn’t have been more excited to discover she’s actually in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary.
Or at least, her unmistakable voice can be heard in the third episode, for any viewers who hadn’t already spotted her special cameo.
In a couple of days, the next instalment of the Duke and Duchess’ bombshell docu-series is set to be released on the streaming platform, taking audiences behind the scenes of their decision to step down as senior working members of the royal family amid ongoing tension with their relatives.
On Tuesday’s This Morning, Alison admitted she was on the edge of her seat waiting for the new episodes, saying she was ‘obsessed’ with the programme.
‘I’ve watched all three episodes, and I don’t know if you know, but in the third episode, you do actually hear my voice,’ the 47-year-old then revealed. ‘You hear me in Nottingham going, “Meghan! We love you!” Really, really loud.’
As Alison’s co-host Dermot O’Leary and their guests expressed their shock over the revelation, Alison added that she only realised she featured in the third episode when she was watching the documentary in her own time.

‘It was actually in the documentary – so I was watching the documentary, and I was like, “That’s my voice!” I was like, this is so good! I’m all over this documentary.’
LBC presenter Nick Ferrari then shared that he found the documentary sad, relating to the fractured relationship between Princes Harry and William due to the fact that his own sons are a similar age.

‘It actually distresses me to see a young man who’s had so many issues as a young lad,’ Nick said of Prince Harry, before adding that ‘clearly’ the support that the royal should have received when he was younger ‘wasn’t there’, although the radio host refrained from pointing fingers at anyone in particular to blame.
‘Genuinely, I find it very upsetting,’ he added.
As the discussion continued, Alison questioned whether the film is simply ‘somebody telling their side of the story’, while it was argued by another guest that in their opinion, the contents of the documentary should have been discussed behind closed doors by the family.
Nonetheless, Alison wasn’t perturbed from watching the second volume of the docu-series.
‘I’m watching the next episode,’ she declared, expressing her hope that she’ll be featured once again.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV. Harry & Meghan is available to watch on Netflix.
