WWE superstar Asuka is undergoing a transformation and she’s teased going on a break ‘for a while’ as she continues to find herself.
The Empress of Tomorrow appeared on Raw this week without her signature makeup as she went for a more natural look for her match against Rhea Ripley amid plenty of hints at embracing her killer clown Kana persona from her time in Japan.
After suffering another loss, Asuka has shared a gif of herself removing her mask on Monday night’s show and suggested she’s disappearing, at least for now.
‘I’ll be on a trip for a while,’ she tweeted, before an almost identical post with worm, fly and bug emojis, possibly implying a fishing trip.
Fans are excited for what’s to come, with her followers hyped to see what’s next for the former Raw Women’s Champion.
‘We are on the journey with you,’ replied one fan, while another said: ‘We’ll be here waiting.’

Asuka had spent the last week teasing a return to her terrifying Kana persona, and fans loved seeing her style change as she continues to embrace a more determined side of her character.
‘Asuka looks GREAT. Love the focus on her going back to her roots. That’s gonna be something interesting to follow,’ one viewer wrote.
Another pointed out how the star posted plenty of pictures of herself in the full clown face paint, ‘only to reveal the exact opposite’.
They added: ‘It somehow made the reveal even more shocking. We were expecting more face paint. Not less.’
Fans are excited by a potential shift in direction for Asuka, who held the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Alexa Bliss for less than a week before losing them back to Damage CTRL at the beginning of November – while she hasn’t won singles gold in over two years.
‘Kana lives. Asuka dies. No one is ready for Kana,’ wrote one fan, while a second follower tweeted: ‘Goodbye Asuka our beautiful Empress… Hello Kana! it’s nice to see you again. It’s been awhile. I pity those that cross you.’
WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
