Nick Knowles is reportedly determined to make his mark on the Hollywood scene, after a historical play he wrote during lockdown is being adapted into a feature film.
The TV presenter, 60, has been fronting DIY SOS since 1999 as well as hosting hit programmes including SAS: Who Dares Wins and BBC’s Perfection.
And now it seems like Nick’s talent knows no bounds, as his latest project has caught the eye of film producers.
‘I originally wrote it as a play because I’d never done that before and a production company said we should turn this into a film,’ he shared.
‘It’s very dark, based on a historical event. It’s sociopathic and has a psychopath at the centre of it.’
Nick also told The Sun that he has no plans to star in the movie adaptation but when it comes to acting he teased ‘never say never.’

The writer recently celebrated his 60th birthday working on a building site with his co-stars including Gabby Blackman.
During his time on the hit series, Nick has transformed hundreds of homes from viewers with his team of builders.
The star was absent from DIY SOS temporarily last year with Rhod Gilbert taking his place for one episode.
It came after it was reported that Nick was holding talks with the BBC regarding his role as the main host of DIY SOS due to his appearance in a Shreddies TV advert.
