Olivia Wilde was caught speeding in London just days after her ex-fiance Jason Sudeikis served her custody papers at a public appearance earlier this year.

The Don’t Worry Darling actress was found to be driving her Audi over the 30 miles per hour speed limit in Ealing, West London in May this year.

After police reached out about the incident, Wilde, 38, is said to have confessed to being the person behind the wheel.

A spokesperson at Lavender Hill magistrates court confirmed to Metro.co.uk that Wilde, who did not attend court on December 6, was ordered to pay a £220 fine, £90 in costs and a £34 victim surcharge. She was also issued three penalty points on her driving licence.

According to the Evening Standard, Wilde listed her then-boyfriend Harry Styles’ North London mansion as her address in the city.

At the time, Wilde was dating the As It Was singer, 28, before they ended their two-year relationship in November.

The speeding offence happened just days after Wilde was very publicly served custody papers by her ex and Ted Lasso actor Sudeikis.

The former OC actress was speaking to the audience at CinemaCon when a man suddenly handed her documents on-stage.

It later emerged they were custody papers in relation to Wilde and Sudeikis’ two children, Otis, eight, and Daisy, six.

Wilde opened up about the incident in an interview with Variety in August, stating: ‘It was my workplace. In any other workplace, it would be seen as an attack. It was really upsetting. It shouldn’t have been able to happen.

‘There was a huge breach in security, which is really scary.’

She continued: ‘The hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges, plus special Covid tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave you wristbands that were necessary to gain access to the event – this was something that required forethought.’

Wilde and Sudeikis split at the end of 2019 ending their seven-year engagement.
