You can rock out to Metallica’s Master Of Puppets in Fortnite, just like Eddie from Stranger Things.
Fortnite’s Metallica collaboration has somehow managed to fly under the radar, given all the other new content that has been added to the game after the Chapter 4 update.
While there are no skins of Lars, James, or the rest of the band (yet!) you can play one of their most popular songs and become the Master Of Puppets.
The song resurfaced on the charts after winning millions of new fans from popular Netflix series Stranger Things – it was originally released over 30 years ago, in 1986.
The Master Of Puppets emote costs 500 V-Bucks, which is around £3.25, and plays only a short segment of Metallica’s hit single.
If you’re the first player to activate the emote, you will be portrayed as the guitarist and lead singer, aka James Hetfield.
Up to three others can join in on the mini concert, even if they haven’t bought the emote themselves, taking over the drums, the second guitar, and the bass to complete the band.
Eddie Munson has become one of the most beloved Stranger Things characters of the most recent series and he plays Master Of Puppets on his guitar in the last episode, which may have inspired this crossover.
The Stranger Things appearance skyrocketed the song’s popularity so much that it added another 17 million Spotify downloads after the finale aired on Netflix, according to Loudwire.
Master Of Puppets is also featured on Fortnite’s Icon Radio, meaning that you’ll hear it when you’re driving around the various vehicles you can find on the island.
It’s not the only Metallica song you can listen to, either, as one Reddit user signalled players to keep an ear out for the following:
Lux Æterna
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Enter Sandman, Sad But True
Fuel, Battery
Damage, Inc.
Blackened
Wherever I May Roam

It’s likely there are even more Metallica songs playing in Fortnite, that people haven’t noticed yet, so see if you can recognise any other hits.
It’s surprising to see that Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill hasn’t been included in Fortnite yet, as it also broke records after regularly featuring in the series.
If you really want to get the Metallica emote, but you’re not willing to pay the small fee, you could also sign up for MrBeast’s Extreme Survival challenge for the chance to win $1,000,000.
That way you can afford to gift the emote to all your friends, in true MrBeast fashion.
