How ‘Gap model’ Prince William is taking his style inspiration from petrolhead Jeremy Clarkson

PRINCE WILLIAM’S style isn’t in his royal jeans . . .  apparently it’s from Jeremy Clarkson.

The Windsors shared their Christmas card this week featuring Wills and Catherine, both 40, George, nine, Charlotte, seven, and four-year-old Louis.

It’s got us asking if the heir to the throne has been taking inspiration from none other than JezzaGetty

It looked like they were modelling for a Gap campaign, in tonal blues and a lot of denim.

But while many focus on Kate as the main source of royal fashion inspiration, it seems the Prince of Wales has been taking style cues from none other than Sun columnist Jezza.

While the pair lead very different lives, they both have a shared love for denim, blue shirts and tweed.

Here, we look at the times William has paid an unlikely homage to Jeremy’s formidable fashion formula.

When it comes to show-stopping fashion moments, Jeremy doesn’t know Diddly Squat.

THE royals love dressing the part, especially when out and about in the countryside.

Wills looks every inch the country squire in his flat cap and waxed jacket in 2004.

Since Clarkson’s Farm hit our screens last year, Jeremy has also been carrying off the country style with great success.

SUITS AND GREEN TIES

JEZZA is rarely seen out of his denims, but he will make the effort for a special occasion.

At The Sun’s Millies awards in 2016, he looked just grand in a suit and a bold green tie.

Prince William stole the look on a trip to Ireland in 2020. Both gents look simply dapper, so this one’s a tie!

BLUE SHIRT

The shade of blue has been Jeremy’s go-to look for years

WILLS really isn’t a blue-collared boy, but prefers the casual look for dressed-down royal events.

Here he is at the Concert for Diana in 2007 with singer Joss Stone.

The shades of blue combo has been Jeremy’s go-to look for years.
