Megan Thee Stallion broke down as she took the stand in her trial against Tory Lanez, after accusing him of shooting her in the foot.
The WAP rapper – real name Megan Pete – previously alleged that her former friend, 30, shot her in both feet after leaving a party in LA, in July, 2020.
The 27-year-old was rushed to hospital and later required surgery to remove the bullets, while the Say It musician – real name Daystar Peterson – was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in an SUV, but pleaded not guilty to an assault charge related to the alleged shooting.
In the second day of the court trial, the musician became emotional as she recalled the alleged incident, and how the focus has instead been on her personal life ever since.
‘I’m having a really difficult time sitting up here telling my story and having to sit across [from] people who have made up lies about me and having to [sit] across from Tory,’ she told the court through tears, reported People Magazine.
‘I try to be strong. I don’t like to look weak. I don’t want to give them the power that they’ve taken from me for the last three years.

‘Not a day goes by without being called a liar. This whole thing is about who I was having sex with, not who shot me, and I don’t know why.’
When Kathy Ta asked her to discuss her career before the alleged incident, Megan explained that she initially didn’t want to say anything out of embarrassment and fears for how the public would perceive her.
‘I just did a song with Beyonce, and now she knows I got shot,’ she continued.
‘I just did something I’ve always wanted, and now it’ll be overshadowed…. This situation has been worse for me while he’s more popular – I’ve turned into a type of villain while he’s a hero.

‘I can’t even be happy… I don’t want to talk to friends or family.
‘I don’t want to live. I wish he had just shot and killed me if I had to go through this torture.’
Detailing the alleged shooting, the Grammy-winner told the court that she heard multiple gunshots, and that she felt it ‘went on forever’.
‘As soon as he started shooting, I put my head down,’ she claimed. ‘I was scared, and I didn’t move.

‘He said, “Dance b***h,” and I turned to him and saw him shoot.’
Officers soon arrived on the scene which made her more worried as there were weapons involved, but she claimed that ‘nobody cared’ about her injuries.
‘Nobody cared I was bleeding. Felt like I don’t matter,’ she added. ‘Nobody cares what is happening to me right now.’
