Ferne McCann has made reference to having a ‘difficult few months’ after she was accused of mocking an acid attack victim of her former boyfriend.
The Towie star, 32, was in a relationship and shares a daughter with Arthur Collins, who is serving 20 years in prison for throwing acid in a night club and injuring multiple people in 2017.
Last month, a voice note purporting to be of McCann was leaked in which a woman could be heard calling one of the victims ‘an ugly f*****g c**t.’
McCann later admitted the note was hers and apologised to victim Sophie Hall but insisted it had been taken out of context.
The scandal came after McCann was accused of calling her fellow Towie star and friend Sam Faiers a ‘fat c**t’ in another leaked voice note, which McCann did not address.
Now the reality star, who has just returned from a trip to India, has reflected on a ‘difficult’ year.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, McCann began by saying she had begun meditating, praising the idea of ‘connecting with the stillness.’
‘It’s not always easy but I didn’t want to complicate it,’ she went on in a caption alongside a photograph of a snowy field.
‘I felt and feel so calm and for the first time after some incredibly difficult months I felt positive.’
She added it was a ‘reminder for me to surrender to the here and now’ and to ‘commit a little harder to those moments that you know will benefit you the most.’
Addressing her followers, she wrote: ‘This is your sign to do something today that will lighten your mood. Take care of yourself.’

It comes as her reality show, First Time Mum, has seemingly resumed filming after initially being paused by ITV in the wake of the voicenotes emerging.
A source said the new season of the show would be filmed in India, where McCann has now returned from.
The show follows her life with fiancé Lorri Haines, and Sunday, her daughter with Collins, and how she navigates a career in the public eye.
While McCann had released a statement online apologising for her comments about acid attack victim Hall, she also insisted the audio had been ‘manipulated and edited.’

She wrote on her Instagram story: ‘I am aware that people will have a number of questions about the voice messages being put into the public domain and purportedly sent by me’.
‘I feel I have no choice but to address these (to the extent that I can as there are restrictions on me which I explain below),’ she posted on Instagram.
‘Most importantly I want to apologise to all the victims of Arthur Collins abhorrent actions in 2017 that they have to relive that night and the pain that followed because this matter is again in the public domain.
‘In particular I want to apologise to Sophie Hall. I do not believe her to be ugly or stupid. She has been brave beyond belief.

‘Arthur Collins’ crimes created genuine victims so I am not trying to portray myself as one. I am unable to say much because there are important and significant legal proceedings that prevent me from setting the record straight at this stage.
‘What I can say is that the voice messages that are being released are manipulated; edited and taken entirely out of context.’
She went on to write that she said things that were ‘untrue’ and which she ‘did not believe’, but had done so to ‘protect my family and myself from serious harm and in the face of significant threats.’

Her reps told the Sun that the messages were ‘part of a wider harassment campaign designed to intimidate and discredit Ferne’ and were subject to an ongoing investigation by Essex Police.
