I’m midsize and tried on some of River Island’s new partywear pieces – it just went from bad to worse

WITH New Year’s around the corner, many of us are looking for the perfect outfit to wear while welcoming in 2023. 

Thankfully, a lot of our favourite influencers are doing the rounds and trying to find the best partywear pieces on the high street.

Although things didn’t quite go to plan for Chloe when trying on her recent River Island haul. 

Chloe, known online as @glowybychloe, regularly shares her bargain clothing hauls with her 431,000 TikTok followers. 

In a recent video, the fashion fan is seen trying on tops and a blazer from River Island’s winter collection –  but she’s not sold on any of the pieces. 

First, she’s seen wearing the Black Velvet Crop Corset Top, now just £20.

Next Chloe tries on the Silver RI Studio Double Breasted Blazer, currently on sale for £60. 

“What in the name do I look like right now? Obviously, I would definitely not style it this way. 

“This is so ridiculous, what? Why? Why? 

“So this is the blazer. I probably would just wear it over my shoulders, but maybe with the corset top, it might look quite nice. Who knows because you can’t envision it.”

Finally, Chloe changes into the Green Diamante Corset Top, priced at £17.

“I thought that was going to be a lot nicer on. Maybe this is why these things have been reduced down. 

“But that is not flattering on, at all. It doesn’t sit nicely. 

“No, I do not like this one at all.” 

Fans loved the honest review, with the video gaining more than 4,200 likes and 121,000 views. 

In the comments, Chloe’s followers shared their thoughts on her recent purchases, with one writing: “I LOVE the corset so much.”

Others loved the fact the shopaholic had turned her pyjama top into a skirt for the video, as she hadn’t ordered any trousers to try on with the rest of the items. 

One said: “Stop I love this so much, the pink dress as trousers I’m dying.”Another added: “Love the fit haha, but seriously tho love the black corset top.”
