Today, the final three episodes of Harry and Meghan’s much-anticipated Netflix documentary landed on the streaming site.

It’s safe to say that since the series first dropped last week, it’s created quite the talking point.

From the pair revealing the bliss and complications of their courtship, to Prince Harry accusing his brother and heir to the throne Prince William of ‘screaming’ at him, a lot has been said.

Aside from the couple themselves, there has also been plenty of Meghan’s pals fighting her corner in the docu, sharing their own thoughts and feelings on H and M’s relationship and the whole shebang.

But just who are Meghan’s crew – and what do we know about them?

Clare Waight Keller

Clare designed Meghan’s wedding dress – quite the task. Indeed, she admits in the docu-series that the dress, made of silk, had to be ‘perfect’ with the whole world watching. Clare’s job was political, too. She said: ‘Looking at the design of the dress, there were many conversations about how you want to present yourself to the world.’

But the fashion designer has a lot to boast about beyond Meghan’s wedding dress. In 2017, Clare made history by becoming Givenchy’s first ever female artistic director, and she’s worked with countless other brands like Pringle of Scotland and Chloé.

The 49-year-old fashion designer told Grazia that her and Meghan became firm friends after they worked together on the dress in 2018.

Lucy Fraser

One of Meghan’s British friends, Lucy Fraser, plays a big role in the docu-series. She describes Meghan’s plans for a ‘single girl summer’, before they were interrupted when the Suits star met Prince Harry in London. ‘Talk about a plot-twist,’ says Meghan.

Lucy also warned Meghan about the British media’s reputation, and discussed how they wore ‘animal onesies’ at the royal couple’s engagement party.

Clearly, Meghan and Lucy are close friends, and she was reportedly one of the closest to attend the royal wedding in 2018. However, according to the Daily Mail, she was listed under her birth name, Lucy Meadmore.

It is rumoured that Lucy used to work in PR, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

Victoria Tsai

Victoria Tsai is the founder of best-selling beauty brand, Tatcha, and a friend of Meghan’s.

In episode two, the beauty superstar chatted about feeling relieved when Harry and Meghan’s hush-hush relationship finally came out in the media.

Famously, Tsai sold her own engagement ring to launch her brand. For nine years, she refused to accept a paycheck so Tatcha would grow into the multi-million dollar company it is today.

Abigail Spencer

Suits star Abigail Spencer is much more than a former colleague of Meghan Markle’s. Having met at an audition pre-Suits, Abigail and Meghan became tight life-long friends. ‘I saw her and was like, “Who is this gorgeous girl?”’ she said of meeting Meghan. ‘She was just so stunning and there was just something about her.’

The actress’s career began with All My Children in 1998, and she has since starred in Mad Men, True Detective, Suits, and Grey’s Anatomy.

In part one of Harry & Meghan, the actress remembers the first signs Meghan’s love for the prince was blossoming. ‘I was screaming because I could tell it was different,’ she said. ‘It was very clear… that they were going to go to the ends of the earth to be together.’

In the latest episodes of the docu-series, Abigail tears up as she remembers not knowing how to help Meghan when she was suffering with her mental health. ‘I was not allowed to say anything,’ she says.

Dhru Purohit

Meghan’s friend Dhru is a ‘serial entrepreneur’, investor and podcaster focused on the health and wellness industry. In the documentary, he describes a symbolic moment at their wedding.

‘We had this massive moment where myself, Oprah, Idris Elba and his partner, we all looked at each other for a brief moment and had a little bit of a chuckle,’ he said.

‘No one needed to say anything. Because everyone knew exactly the layers of symbolism that were taking place that day.’

Silver Tree

Film writer and producer Silver Tree is perhaps Meghan’s most ardent defender, having spoken out on numerous occasions about the media’s behaviour where her friend is concerned.

Last year, after allegations of bullying came out against Meghan, the California-born Silver, who also worked on Netflix hits Dead To Me, Shameless and You, described the Duchess as one of her ‘nearest and dearest’ in an lengthy Instagram post.

The pair met on Suits when Silver produced ten episodes. ‘She’d just bring this, like, lightness,’ said Silver in Harry & Meghan. ‘And for a director, she is such a simple actor in that she is always natural, but is absolutely trusting. She didn’t overthink it, she just did it, and I think it put a lot of people at ease.’

Meghan likes feisty and ambitious pals, and after working on Suits, Silver Tree directed Lethal Weapon scenes to gain experience of stunt-heavy shows and avoid being typecast.

Heather Dorak

Owner of Pilates Platinum, Heather is thought to have met Meghan when the latter attended classes whilst starring in Suits.

The pair became friends, and Heather talks about attending the royal wedding in the documentary, describing it as ‘big and spectacular’.

Serena Williams

This particular friend of Meghan’s needs no introduction. Although Serena Williams’ appearance was brief, the Wimbledon champion was quick to sing Meghan’s praises in the fourth episode of the docu-series.

The tennis superstar, 41, describes Meghan as being ‘courageous’ to have represented her culture at the royal wedding with a gospel choir.

Serena and Meghan’s friendship began in 2014 and has stood the test of time. Meghan has long supported Williams at her tennis matches, and Williams threw Meghan’s baby shower.

Meghan wrote about their friendship on her lifestyle blog, The Tig: ‘We are both the same age, have a penchant for hot sauces and adore fashion, but what connects us more than those things is perhaps our belief in exceeding expectations – our endless ambition.’
