Alison Hammond believes she’s cracked formula to predict Strictly Come Dancing winner-Ruth Lawes-Entertainment – Metro

Alison Hammond has developed her own method to predict the winner of Strictly Come Dancing and believes she knows who will take home the Glitterball Trophy this year.

The final of the BBC’s juggernaut series is fast approaching with four couples vying to be crowned 2022 champions after fending off stiff competition on the ballroom floor.

After actor Will Mellor narrowly missed out on a place last week, the celebrities hoping to win the public vote are wildlife filmmaker Hamza Yassin, DJ Fleur East, presenter Helen Skelton and singer Molly Rainford.

But despite an expert judging panel comprising Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke delivering their verdict week by week, Alison, 47, has her own way of guessing who will be crowned champion.

Discussing the beloved series with head judge Shirley, 62, along with co-host Dermot O’Leary, national treasure Alison revealed she can ‘call’ who wins.

The presenter announced: ‘Shirley, I think I can call it if I’m honest with you and should I tell you the way I work it out?

‘I’m really into social media and what I do is I watch whose social media has increased the most over the time [of the show].

‘And I’m going to call that it’s going to be Hamza because his social. media has grown the most.’

Alison’s winner Hamza, 32, recently spoke to Metro.co.uk and other press ahead of the final on Sunday, revealing he still struggles with his confidence.

He explained: Each week is a new dance, and it feels like you’re back in square one again, and you’re learning a different hold.’

‘I’m certainly out of my comfort zone, a lion charging in front of the camera I’m like, “Alright cool, I know what that’s going to do,” and I’m confident there, whereas here I’m in clothes that I wouldn’t normally wear, doing stuff that I wouldn’t normally do.’

‘I don’t hear the music believe it or not, I feel the music, there’s a rhythm,’ Hamza added.

‘For me, confidence is a tough thing, but I feel like my dyslexia helps me out with my dancing. So I have that to rely on.’

On Sunday’s show, Hamza’s partner Jowita Przystal had the camera operator in tears as explained to him and the audience why he deserves a place in the final.

‘First time when I met you, I asked your for the trust and the energy and you gave me much more than that,’ she began.

‘Seeing you every day, going out of your comfort zone, and working so hard and giving me 120% every time is amazing.

But, what’s made me the proudest teacher in the world is how you always go there on the night and you dance from the heart, thank you for that.’
