Carol Vorderman has weighed into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary, revealing she ‘got really angry at one point.’

The second and final batch of the six-parter landed on the global streamer on Thursday, which offered an intimate portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relationship, as well as their time in the Royal Family.

Explosive allegations made by the pair included that Meghan, 41, ‘threatened’ the Firm due to her popularity, while the Suits actor also claimed they would not allow her to get help for her mental health problems.

The former Countdown whizz appeared on Friday’s This Morning to discuss the conclusion of the docuseries with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, as well as broadcaster Gyles Brandreth.

Carol, 61, initially said she approached Harry & Meghan ‘neutrally’, saying she hadn’t watched their nuptials but felt obliged to watch the doc because ‘people want to talk about it.’

She said she felt Meghan is ‘bright’ and ‘has a point’, but while watching the latest instalment became ‘really angry at one point.’

The broadcaster said she wasn’t enraged by comments about the Royal Family but about the lack of addressing lockdown and Covid, although the documentary has always been billed as about being the couple’s lives, not the pandemic.

Carol continued: ‘There’s no generosity of spirit to those who have suffered. There’s a sense of being spoilt and overprivileged.’

Meanwhile, national treasure Alison has previously defended Meghan on the daytime talk show.

Meghan was accused of bullying her staff before she moved to California with Harry as the pair quit as working royals, with two senior staff accusing the Duchess of Sussex of bullying them while another former employee said she humiliated them.

The Archetypes founder has refuted the claims, and later told Oprah Winfrey during the notorious interview that Buckingham Palace was using the media to ‘peddle a wholly false narrative’.

‘Meghan can’t control what is being put into the papers,’ Alison told Camilla Tominey on Thursday’s This Morning.

‘It’s not her fault that she’s been bigged up and been the number one person,’ she continued, speaking about how Meghan made headlines shortly after their wedding.

As the discussion turned towards claims of bullying, and the Duchess speaking about her mental health battles on the Netflix programme, Alison added: ‘Obviously, all of this that happened, she was going through mental health issues.

‘And I’m sure when you’re going through mental health issues you’re probably not going to be the nicest behind-the-scenes.

‘That could come across as bullying to some people.’

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
