I’m a country girl – I traded my usual farm clothes for a Mrs Claus dress and wore it to visit my chickens
A FESTIVE farmer got in the holiday spirit by putting on a Christmas-themed outfit before she stepped out to tend to her flock.
The Mrs Claus dress was a hit with the animals, and the country girl’s online followers liked it too.

Melissa Tucker has sheep, chickens, and pheasants on her farm, and the animals are social media stars in their own right.
On a typical day, she wears a practical shirt and jeans to feed and care for her animals.
But she changed into something much merrier in the month of December: a red-and-white dress befitting Santa’s lovely wife.
Tucker recorded her journey through the farm in her “party wear,” making her holiday rounds to the animals.
She went to the chicken coop in her belted, fur-trimmed minidress.
Trudging through fallen leaves in a pair of sturdy black boots, Tucker revealed white fur boot toppers that matched the accent on her cuffs and skirt.
The chickens didn’t seem too shocked by Tucker’s adorable ensemble, more focused on their food and water.
The chicken coop wasn’t the only location to get a visit from Mrs Claus.
In a different video, Tucker walked alongside a pasture, where her sheep peeked through the fence.
As she squatted down to pet the animals, Tucker grinned at the camera, slowly moving forward to give a closer look at her woolly friends.

The new angle revealed another aspect of her outfit: red fingerless gloves with a green fabric sprig of holly on the outer corner.
A black lamb named Minty was especially interested in the unusual outfit.
“Think he wondered what was going on today!” Tucker wrote in the video description.
Tucker gave her followers updates on the animals. One person commented on a clip of the chickens, asking if they were laying eggs.
The response from Tucker confirmed that even animals deserve a holiday vacation.
“They’ve stopped laying for winter at the moment,” she wrote back.
Other viewers liked the animals, but they were more focused on Tucker’s perfectly-curated ensemble instead.
“Very festive dress,” wrote one man, adding an “okay” emoji to communicate his approval.
