Ranvir Singh has put forward a theory that members of the royal family may have sent a ‘coded’ message during a carol service after Meghan and Prince Harry’s Netflix documentary.

On Thursday this week, the latest episodes of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s docu-series dropped on the platform, shedding further light on their painful departure from their roles as senior working members of the Firm.

At one point on the programme, Meghan explained why she chose to wear ‘muted colours’ during royal engagements, as she wanted to try and ‘blend in’.

‘I rarely wore colour. It was thought in that, to my understanding, you can’t ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there’s a group event, but then you also shouldn’t be wearing the same colour as one of the more senior members of the family,’ the former Suits actress said.

The 41-year-old recalled how she pondered: ‘What’s a colour that they’ll probably never wear?’ which is why she chose to wear shades such as camel, beige and white, adding: ‘So I wore a lot of muted tones, but it also was so I could just blend in.’

However, on Friday’s Good Morning Britain, Ranvir, 45, appeared to dispute Meghan’s claim, by displaying the outfits worn by several members of the royal family at their ‘Together at Christmas’ carol service, which was held at Westminster Abbey this week.

‘What do we think then this was about last night? We’ve got Zara, Princess of Wales Kate, we’ve got her sister Pippa and Princess Charlotte all wearing the same colour,’ the GMB co-host said while holding up a newspaper.

The article in question showed Kate, Pippa, Charlotte and Zara all wearing a similar shade of burgundy, dressing to the Christmas theme.

Ranvir continued, theorising that the members of the royal family could have worn the matching outfits on purpose in direct response to the documentary.

‘It’s just interesting isn’t it, because they can’t say anything back, but perhaps the colour coding was something they were doing quietly,’ she said.

On the new episodes of Harry & Meghan, the couple opened up about reaching out to Hollywood star Tyler Perry for help when trying to elude the paparazzi after leaving the UK.

Having provided them with a home to live in when they moved to Los Angeles, Tyler revealed he was later asked to be the godfather to the couple’s daughter, Lilibet.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV. Harry & Meghan is available to watch on Netflix.
