The Apprentice is back, people!
Well, almost. But until Lord Alan Sugar returns to our screens with the new batch of candidates, we have a dramatic trailer to keep us going.
The 17th series of the award-winning business show premieres on January 5, 2023, and it seems the next lot of entrepreneurs are going global.
Kicking things off with the ultimate task, the candidates jet off to Antigua for crystal clear waters, catamarans and… Claude!
Joining Lord Sugar will be his trusted advisors Baroness Karren Brady, Tim Campbell MBE, and Claude Littner, who returns for two episodes.
For the first time since series 13, the show will return with 18 new candidates, all competing to win a life-changing £250,000 investment in their businesses.

And if they thought they’d be eased in gently, well, they were wrong, as the candidates are thrown in at the deep end from day one, travelling to the Caribbean where they face the challenge of creating and selling excursions to tourists.
With no time to enjoy the duty-free, those candidates who aren’t cast away in the first task are back to face a host of equally tough challenges for the series ahead.
‘This is not a game,’ Lord Sugar begins in the trailer. ‘This remains the toughest job interview.’

He continues: ‘It’s an opportunity of a lifetime’, as Take My Breath by The Weeknd plays in the background.
Teaser clips show the hopefuls in idyllic surroundings, riding camels and surfing the waves… most likely long before getting down to the nitty gritty.
‘The world’s now open for business,’ Lord Sugar continues. ‘And I’m kicking things off with the ultimate task. One of you will be gone before your postcards get back.’

‘Let’s get down the business,’ he concludes, and oh boy, we could not be more excited.
The stakes are higher than ever and the loser’s cab is, of course, on standby, so there’ll be no time for pleasantries in the boardroom next series, as each candidate is desperate to become Lord Sugar’s next business partner.

Series 16 of The Apprentice saw a record return, peaking at 8.9million for the launch episode.
The final also made history, with the final four contestants all being women.

But, there could only be one winner and dessert shop owner Harpreet Kaur managed to secure that lucrative partnership with Lord Sugar.
Now we have the trailer, all we need are the identities of this year’s candidates…
