Uncle Howdy made his first appearance in front of a live WWE crowd in a haunting twist on SmackDown.
Friday night’s episode introduced viewers to the sinister character in a very intrigued way as fans got confirmation that Uncle Howdy isn’t just in the head of Bray Wyatt.
A video aired showing LA Knight, sporting a creepy mask, kidnapped by a terrifying figure threatening the former NXT star.
Knight himself came out on the show to recap his recent feud with Wyatt, hyping up his rival and his epic comeback at Extreme Rules in October, before blaming him for the recent attacks.
The former Fiend came out with a subtle Brodie Lee tribute, shouting ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah’ in a line with a double meaning in response to Knight’s own catchphrase.
‘I am sick of you. I am sick of this entire game we keep playing, man. Here’s the deal. I know you don’t believe me, man, and I understand why,’ Wyatt warned his rival.
‘But I’m being honest when I tell ya, you’re barking up the wrong tree. I haven’t touched you. And I think the ironic part is we both know how this story ends, don’t we?
‘So, I have decided that since we both know how it ends, I’m gonna give you one more chance to deliver your message… You better deliver it good and make it worth my while.’
Knight attacked Wyatt, but the lights dropped and another creepy video played before Uncle Howdy stepped out in front of the live crowd after an ominous warning to the typically brash star.
He let out a maniacal laugh as Wyatt looked from Uncle Howdy to LA Knight and back, the creepy laugh blended with Wyatt’s as he just stood on the ramp.
It poses more questions than answers, but offered fans just enough to keep them hooked as the story takes an epic turn.
WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
