G-Fuel is launching a Mighty Poo flavoured energy drink, if you’re tired of the same old strawberry and orange.
Energy drinks aimed specifically at gamers has been a thing for years now but we think we can say with certainty that this is the strangest tie-in ever.
G-Fuel have just announced a new special edition flavour named Mighty Poo, based on boss character The Great Mighty Poo from Conker’s Bad Fur Day.
There’s a peculiarly deep cut, as the original Nintendo 64 game was released over 20 years ago now, in 2001, with Xbox remake Conker: Live & Reloaded appearing in 2005.
The game follows Conker, a greedy, hard-drinking red squirrel whose goal is to return home to his girlfriend, Berri. It was intended as an inversion of the usual cutesy N64 platformers and was developer Rare’s last game for the format.
Arguably the most memorable moment in the game is the boss battle with The Great Mighty Poo, who is essentially a sentient mountain of poo which also sings opera.

If you’ve already lost your appetite, the Mighty Poo energy drink is said to taste like a ‘Tropical Corn Soda mix’ – though we’re not sure that’s much better either.
Corn is actually the Great Mighty Poo’s favourite food, so if you end up liking the drink, that’d make two of you.
If, for some reason, you can’t wait to get your hands on the Mighty Poo energy drink, you’ll be happy to know it’ll start shipping in April 2023.
However, it’ll cost a hefty $60 (£50) as it also comes with a special vinyl figure, modelled after the big mound of s*** himself.

The set will be packaged in a special collector’s box featuring images of Conker and Berri, as well as The Great Might Poo.
For now, if you want to get a taste of the game, Conker: Live & Reloaded is an Xbox backwards compatible game or the original Conker’s Bad Fur Day is part of the Rare Replay collection.
Strangely enough, a poo-themed energy drink might not be the weirdest beverage to hit the market in 2023.
Twitch streamer Amouranth wants to make a ‘gamer girl bath water’ flavoured energy drink, too, if you were wondering what to pair her jars of farts with.
