Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey brings daughter Monroe, 11, and celebrity pals on stage during star-studded TV special-Jennifer McShane-Entertainment – Metro

Is it even Christmas without a star-filled festive concert helmed by Mariah Carey? The answer, naturally, is no.

Christmas Queen Mariah delivered an adorable performance with her daughter, Monroe, during her Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas To All! two-hour festive TV special, which aired on Tuesday in the US.

The superstar, 52, and her young daughter 11, sang familiar festive tune, Away in a Manger, at the Madison Square Garden arena together, much to the delight of fans.

She shares Monroe and her twin brother Moroccan with ex-husband Nick Cannon.

The hitmaker pulled out all the stops in the style stakes, looking as glamorous as ever, in a lavish white ballgown and floral crown.

Monroe was, naturally, her mum’s mini-me and wore a matching outfit – a white dress and tiara – for the mother-daughter performance.

Later, the chart-topper changed into a series of outfits including a shorter, silver mini-dress and platform heels.

She even brought out Santa Claus himself (of course) and a festive choir, all the while making sure she had an outfit change to match the proceedings. 

And she had a few guests on hand to help her enjoy the festivities. As the Butterfly singer performed a medley of her greatest holiday hits, she brought out some famous friends including actress Drew Barrymore, Billy Porter, Jermaine Dupri and Slick Rick.

Drew, 47, looked equally glamorous in a white, silk suit and yellow sparkling platform shoes. 

Mariah had another reason to enjoy the Christmas celebrations recently, after her 30-year-old beloved hit All I Want for Christmas Is You reached the top of the UK charts. 

Earlier this month, she scored a number one on the Official Singles Chart in the UK, ending Taylor Swift’s six-week reign in the top spot with Anti-Hero. This was only the second time All I Want For Christmas Is You has soared to number one in the UK.

The first time this happened was in 2020, prompting the musician to release a video celebrating her achievement. 

‘I wrote this little song, my first Christmas song I ever wrote, and I’m just so proud and thankful and full of gratitude that it’s finally number one in the UK on the main charts. The Official Chart,’ she said at the time.
