Tori Spelling has revealed that she went to hospital after suffering from breathing issues, calling out people who ‘gaslit’ her when she said that she was too ill to work.

In a post shared on her Instagram Story, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress said that she’d been experiencing a ‘hard time breathing, high blood pressure and crazy dizziness’.

Explaining that she had been ‘low on oxygen’, the 49-year-old opened up on her hospital stay.

‘Here I am in hospital since late last night,’ she wrote. ‘To all of you who gas lit me when you were told I [was] too sick to work, well here I am.’

Dubbing herself a ‘workaholic’, the reality star added: ‘How about next time take someone at face value and show kindness instead of doubtfulness. Remember, for people like me, NOT working is a nightmare.

‘I’m a hustler and a workaholic. I always choose work [sic].’

Tori stressed that she wants to return home to be with her children for Christmas, sharing that the hospital’s medical professionals are ‘running a battery of tests’, as reported by US Weekly.

Just a week ago, her youngest son Beau spent three weeks off school after falling ill, before becoming unwell for the second time in a month.

The actress starred as Donna Martin in Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 2000, reprising the role across the 90210 franchise in Melrose Place, 90210 and BH90210.

She’s been married to her husband Dean McDermott since 2006, with whom she has five children together.

The couple have starred in multiple reality series together, including Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood and Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever.

Earlier this year, she took on a new role as host of MTV dating series Love at First Lie, where eight couples try to convince each other that they’re in love, while attempting to root out the fake couples in their midst.

Explaining the impact the show had on her personally, she told Metro.co.uk: ‘It reinspired me about loving love again and believing it exists on so many different levels.

‘Watching these couples and really analysing them, helped me take away things that I can use in my future. It made me feel that love does rule and does conquer all.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted Tori Spelling’s representatives for comment.
