Tory Lanez confirmed to the judge he would not be testifying in court following former friend Megan Thee Stallion’s allegations against him.

The Savage rapper – real name Megan Pete – suggested that her friend at the time, Tory, 30, shot her in both feet in July, 2020 after leaving a party in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, Judge Herriford heard the accused’s confirmation that he would not be taking the witness stand at trial in his defence.

This development signalled the end of the testimonies in the week-long trial and opened the floor for jurors to begin their verdict deliberations.

As it stands, Tory’s legal team opted to rest their case without allowing the 30-year-old to personally plead his case to the jurors.

He will not defend himself against allegations he pulled the trigger the night the artist was shot.

It’s official: Tory Lanez will not be testifying. He confirmed to Judge Herriford that he knows it’s his decision, and his decision is to not testify. Herriford then read aloud jury instructions, and closings will allegedly begin at 1:30 p.m.

News of the end of testimony was shared on Twitter by journalist Meghann Cuniff who was at the courthouse.

She wrote: ‘Tory Lanez will not be testifying.

‘He confirmed to Judge Herriford that he knows it’s his decision, and his decision is to not testify.

‘Herriford then read aloud jury instructions, and closings will allegedly begin at 1:30 p.m.’

It was reported that the judge addressed the defendant as ‘Mr. Peterson’ and asked him to confirm whether or not he had the right to testify.

‘Yes, your honour,’ Tory allegedly said and on being asked by the judge if he properly considered his options, the accused confirmed ‘I have, your honour.’

Accused of three felony counts over the incident that supposedly occurred two years ago, prosecutors claimed Tory shouted ‘Dance, b****’ and fired shots at Megan’s feet, at least one of which struck her.

The trial began earlier this month on December 12 and saw the star break down in tears as she admitted ‘I wish he had just shot and killed me,’ in an emotional testimony.

Other testimony heard by jury members included words from Kelsey Harris – the megastar’s former friend and assistant – that Tory’s lawyers suggested could have pulled the trigger as they were also in the car that night.

The deciding party also heard an account from an individual named Sean Kelly who allegedly saw the entire incident from his home, located nearby.
