However, fashion fan and bargain hunter Vanessa thought she’d hit the jackpot when she came across a £12.50 dupe for the £150 UGG Ultra Minis.
She took to TikTok to rave about the Ardene version of the boots, as she wore one shoe from the budget pair on one foot and a real UGG on the other.
“Which one is UGG?” she captioned her video.
And speaking in the video, she said: “Okay, one is UGG and one is Ardene, which is which?”
But people were quick to comment on the clip to insist they spotted the dupe in seconds.
“You kidding?” one wrote.
As another added: “You can very easily tell the difference lol.”
“100% noticeable,” a third insisted.
While someone else commented: “Is this a joke?”
“Bro you have to be joking,” another laughed.
“Sometimes you just gotta splurge for quality,” someone else added.
In another video on her TikTok page, Vanessa offered a closer look at the UGG next to its budget alternative.
She pointed out that one of the major differences was the height of the front – with the Ardene ones coming up higher than the UGG.
The thickness of the sole was another difference, as well as the material used for the lining.
“it’s the soles though. Ardene are the only shoes that fit me and they don’t last long at all, super sad,” one commented on that video.
As another added: “The Ardene ones look mad cheap…though … I would buy them to wear about inside my house.”
