Netflix has treated devoted fans to a healthy dose of nostalgia by dropping the first look at That ’70s Show spin-off That ’90s Show.

The revival is based on the classic iconic series, which followed the lives of teenage friends in a fictional town in Wisconsin and ran from 1998-2006.

Its star-studded cast included Topher Grace, alongside Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Wilmer Valderrama who catapulted to fame following the show’s success.

The official trailer sees Ashton and Mila – who are married in real life – reprising their respective roles as Michael Kelso and Jackie Burkhart, who are now parents to aspiring videographer son Jay (Mace Coronel).

‘I am back baby!’ Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) enthused during the opening shot.

The action-packed teaser also showed actor Wilmer making his sassy return as Chez Fez and glimpses of Tommy Chong as hippie Leo Chingkwake.

The show’s official synopsis reads: ‘It’s 1995 and Leia Forman is desperate for some adventure in her life or at least a best friend who isn’t her dad. When she arrives in Point Place to visit her grandparents, Red and Kitty, Leia finds what she’s looking for right next door when she meets the dynamic and rebellious Gwen.

‘With the help of Gwen’s friends, including her lovable brother Nate, his smart, laser-focused girlfriend Nikki, the sarcastic and insightful Ozzie, and the charming Jay, Leia realizes adventure could happen there just like it did for her parents all those years ago.

The Fox classic aired for eight seasons spanning 1998 to 2006, and it was nominated for 16 Primetime Emmy Awards only winning one for costume design in 1999.

Killers actor Ashton spoke about the joy of reuniting with his sitcom family.

‘It was really nostalgic to be back on the set,” he told Variety in July. ‘It’s all the same folks that made That ’70s Show,’ so it was pretty bizarre.’

That ’90s Show will premiere on Netflix on January 19 2023.
