The Traitors winner Hannah Byczkowski has said making the power move to banish Wilfred Webster gave her a sense of power in the game that she hadn’t felt until the finale.

Part of the final three who clued on that Wilf wasn’t being quite so honest as he claimed, Hannah decided right at the end of the game to carry out one last banishment to ensure the entire prize pool didn’t go to a Traitor.

After a tip-off from Kieran Tompsett, where he said his vote for Wilf was ‘a parting gift’, Hannah had her doubts that her friend was a Faithful, so acted to determine his honesty.

Her hunch was right and he had in fact been lying about his role in the game.

But now, Hannah has said she feels bad for what she did.

‘Obviously selfishly the money was going to help me as well but when I looked at Aaron (Evans) and Meryl’s (Williams) faces I was wondering whether I should risk it and keep Wilf in or do I just make sure,’ she said while being interviewed by host Claudia Winkleman on her BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday.

‘All the way through I felt like I had no control,’ she explained.

‘People were murdering people, well Wilf was murdering them and then at that fire pit I felt like I had all the control and could control what was going to happen.

‘I knew Meryl was going to do anything I did and I kind of thought that Aaron would stick with us so we would have the majority so I really felt like it was up to me and if I wanted it, I could have it.

‘It was a really weird moment because all of the way through I hadn’t had that [power].’

After he was outed Wilf made an emotional speech to the other three, saying he was glad the money was going to people he ‘really liked’.

‘I can’t tell you how f***ing happy I am at the moment,’ he exclaimed. ‘I’m so happy for you guys.’

A tearful Wilf continued: ‘I’ve had to fight, and the more I’ve got to know you guys and had to try and steal money from you, it’s been really hard.

‘But honestly, I couldn’t go through this process without people that make me happy. You lot made me happy, you made me enjoy being here.

Although a second season is yet to be confirmed, Claudia asked for advice to anyone hoping to sign up.

‘We didn’t even speak in the castle because we were so scared and then we had trust issues,’ he said.
