The Voice Kids winner Israella Chris has already landed a pretty huge gig, having performed at her mentor Pixie Lott’s wedding this summer.

The 14-year-old singer was crowned champion of the children’s ITV show on Wednesday night by presenter Emma Willis, seeing off competition from Todd, Sebastian, and Tawana.

Filming for the series took place earlier this year, and while Israella had to keep the news of her win under wraps she was invited to sing at Pixie’s wedding to her longtime partner Oliver Cheshire in June.

Following her sensational victory, Israella appeared on Thursday’s episode of Good Morning Britain alongside the Cry Me Out artist where she shared details of being booked for the special day.

Speaking to new presenter Gordon Smart and co-host Charlotte Hawkins about singing at Pixie’s nuptials, the youngster said: ‘It was so amazing. She looked so stunning, oh my God. She looked like she came out of a Disney film. It was amazing.’

Pixie wed Oliver at Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire this summer after they were forced to postpone their wedding several times during the pandemic.

The couple was joined by lots of celebrity guests for the ceremony, including  McFly singer Danny Jones and his wife Georgia Horsley, Towie’s Tom Pearce, and Lady Emma Weymouth.

Israella was showered with confetti after she was announced as the winner of The Voice Kids.

‘Thank you all so much for believing in me and I really hope I made you proud,’ she exclaimed following the joyous moment.

‘I wanna thank these guys over here,’ she said, addressing her fellow finalists. ‘You guys brought the fire this year!’

Israella’s friends and family then ran onto the stage to squeeze her, as mentor Pixie expressed her pride.

‘Oh my goodness, Israella is so special, such a raw talent,’ she said.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1.
