Light Balance Kids made an emotional return to the America’s Got Talent stage on Monday night, and put on an incredible show.

The All-Stars series kicked off in style as some of the most popular contestants came back to delight viewers once again, as well as judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel.

Britain’s Got Talent poet Aneeshwar Kunchala, ventriloquist Terry Fator, singer Caly Bevier and magician Lioz were just some of the names battling it out for a spot in the upcoming finale.

Dance group Light Balance Kids, who first dazzled viewers with their light-baring routines on AGT in 2019, had many in tears as they discussed their comeback amid the ongoing war in their home of Ukraine.

Some of the performers in the group – made up of mostly young dancers – explained that they traveled to the competition by themselves as their loved ones ‘are still fighting’ for their independence.

Their choreography, to Move Your Feet, earned a standing ovation from the audience as well as huge praise from the panel.

‘It was your best performance you’ve ever done,’ Simon said. ‘Really. By a mile.

‘If anything defines an All-Star, it was that performance.’

‘This was such a fun party, and it needs to be longer,’ supermodel Heidi agreed.

Howie pressed his golden buzzer for the act, adding: ‘There’s such an amazing message here.

‘Where you come from, at this point it’s arguably the darkest place in the world, and you come across the globe to bring us light.

‘And if I can do anything, anything on behalf of America, on behalf of AGT: All-Stars, to bring you even more light than you’ve brought us, I’d like to do that for you.’

Discussing the scenes in a chat with People Magazine, Light Balance Kids members Maryna Zaitseva, Mariia Honiukova and Darya Cherepakha explained that it helped them ‘to forget, for a moment, all the fears and suffering our country and compatriots are experiencing now’.

‘It was one of the biggest moments of pure joy and happiness in our lives,’ they said. ‘If we could say that it was like the best cure for the heaviest disease, it would [be] true.

‘Since February 24, 2022, we all fled from war to different countries so AGT: All Stars gave us this opportunity to get together and perform as a team again.

‘It’s such happiness to be able to come back to [a] normal life, see each other and dance together again.’

As well as Light Balance Kids, The Bello Sisters – a hand-balancing group who originally competed in season 15 – also moved into the finale after winning the super fan vote.
