Delaney, who goes by @ufodelaney online, shared a Tik Tok video addressing whether necklaces have gone out of fashion.
She declared: “I am not blind and I notice a pattern.”
The fashion buff went on to show a number of red carpet looks from influential celebrities – including Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner and Taylor Swift – with a bare neck and chest.
Delaney explained: “Celebrities have not been wearing necklaces like they used to.
“Before the pandemic, dainty jewellery was the thing.
“And then 2020 gave us a wild ball. We got chunky jewellery and it was popping.
“Through that, we shifted into a chunky gold hoop moment.
“And now… nothing.
“That whole grungy, also business professional minimalist chic look also happened in the early 2000s and necklaces were not found.”
Necklace-lovers flocked to the comments of Delaney’s video to denounce the new trend.
One said: “Almost every single one of these outfits would look better with a necklace.”
A second affirmed: “I would never be caught dead without a necklace.”
A third penned: “Necklaces never have and never will go out of style.
“They have been around for thousands of years.”
