Love Island bosses ‘set sights on Pretty Little Thing model’- as winter series looms-Stella Akinwumi-Entertainment – Metro

Love Island bosses are reportedly ‘eyeing up’ a Pretty Little Thing model to join this year’s winter line-up.

The winter edition of the long-running ITV2 dating show is sert to return in less than two weeks, and will see Maya Jama take the reigns of the programme for the first time since taking over from Laura Whitmore.

The fresh batch of Islanders will be hoping to find love in a luxurious £1.2million villa nestled in the heart of South Africa, complete with an Olympic training pool and 400m running track.

ITV have been keeping the cast of 2023 under wraps, but according to MailOnline, show bosses are looking at model Chloe Baker to join the series.

According to Chloe’s Instagram, which boasts 15.3k followers, she signed to Nemesis modelling agency and is an ambassador for brands including Lipsy London and Missy Empire.

This comes after Boohoo ambassador Tanya Manhenga was the first rumoured singleton to join the series.

An insider said about the potential reality TV star: ‘Tanya really is the whole package, she’s as smart as she is stunning and she looks set to be one this series’ most popular Islanders.

They continued to The Sun: ‘She’s an Islander in waiting, already moving in the same circles as former cast members and with brand deals already under her belt.

‘But her followers already know she’s got a personality to match.

‘This year’s cast is a sassy bunch, packed with banter and good chat, and Tanya is set to lead the pack.’

Metro.co.uk understands that the line-up is yet to be confirmed.

News of Love Island’s official start date comes after it was announced that the latest batch of contestants will have to disable their social media accounts during the programme to protect both them and their families.

For the first time, the broadcaster will ask islanders to make their accounts ‘dormant’ while they are in the villa so nothing can be published on their behalf and they avoid ‘the adverse effects of social media’.

Contestants will also receive ‘guidance and training’ around ‘mutually respectful behaviour in relationships’ after the most recent series prompted thousands of complaints to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom.

Many of the complaints related to ‘alleged misogynistic and bullying behaviour’ although they were not upheld.

Love Island returns Monday, January 16 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
