Amanda posted her clip with the caption ‘How you can shop smart at H&M part two Such a great store, but it’s important to know how to shop here to get your money’s worth!’

When looking for clothes, she advised: “How to shop smart at H&M so you can get your money’s worth.

“H&M is a great store, but I want to make sure you guys know how to shop here.

“First, stay away from thin sweaters. Although the price may be nice, these tend to make your outfit look cheap and have no longevity.

“What you want to focus on are chunky knit sweaters.

“Next, stay away from bottoms that don’t have pockets or tailoring details. Although these might be really comfortable, the material isn’t great – it lacks structure and just doesn’t flatter most body types.

“These [wide leg, button up, tailored trousers] are the kind of bottoms you want to focus on. The details just make it look so much more stylish and they are also great for casual or professional settings.

“If you are spending $75 on a trench coat here, please make sure that the jacket is double-lined.

“Make sure it has structure and I’d recommend a neutral colour.

“Unless you are really obsessed with these shoes [chunky, gold detailed loafers], then great, but I would opt for something more classic because you’ll wear it more.

“Again, if these kind of shoes are you style then great but they are a little too trendy and I always think classic is best.

“And last tip of the day, I always focus on staple pieces like blazers and trousers. These will never fail you in your wardrobe.”

Amanda’s video has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 876.5k views.

It has 73.1k likes, 156 comments and 108 shares.

A third commented: “Thank you for this. Most of the people don’t have the money to buy designer clothes. We can find great pieces with tips like yours. ”

Meanwhile, someone else noted: “As a personal stylist i would also add looking at what is the product made of. If its more than 40% polyester etc. its not worth it.”
