Getting up close and personal with a Garfield plushie led to a weeklong ban for Twitch streamer Ricky Berwick.

While streaming in the Just Chatting category, many creators choose to put on a show to keep their viewers entertained and encourage them to buy subscriptions.

From eating over 30 beetles to setting their hands on fire, there’s not many things that streamers haven’t attempted to do while broadcasting live.

This time a creator was hit with a seven day ban for doing questionable things to a plushie, in a bid to gain 20 subscribers.

At some point during his stream Ricky Berwick was seen humping a Garfield toy fully clothed, which Twitch didn’t seem to think was very funny.

Ricky later posted his plushie on Twitter, which looked dishevelled by the experience, joking that the ban was ‘worth it.’

He’ll likely be able to stream again from January 11-12, unless the ban gets cut short, as often happens.

Ricky told his fans that he’ll be streaming on YouTube for the duration of the penalty. He’s mostly known for doing crazy video skits, often referencing his disability.

The streamer later posted the email he received from Twitch, which listed ‘sexually explicit content’ as the reason behind the ban.

More: Twitch

Not long ago, Warzone 2 streamer Aydan’s channel was suspended for the same reason, although in his case he was humping his gaming chair.

Once again, Twitch’s alleged double standards towards hot tub streamers were brought to light in the tweet thread discussing the ban.

The platform is often accused of being lenient towards hot tub content, as it’s very profitable.

Many have even gone as far as suggesting that Twitch should either fully accept or completely reject sexually explicit content, to put an end to the debate.

@Twitch you can’t have a hot tub section and then do this. Either embrace it or get rid of it
