Becoming a werewolf is no easy feat, as Wednesday star Emma Myers discovered.

In the Netflix series, Enid Sinclair (played by Emma) is introduced as the polar opposite of the titular character Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) – a bubbly student who’s bursting with energy, colour and enthusiastic hugs.

The Nevermore Academy student is revealed to be a werewolf, but is yet to ‘wolf out’ at the full moon like the rest of her family, who viewers meet in the sixth episode of the show.

During an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 20-year-old opened up about the preparation that went into adopting werewolf-like mannerisms.

‘Was there werewolf training?’ Jimmy asked Emma, to which she replied affirmatively that there was.

‘I’m being serious,’ the 48-year-old host added, as she responded: ‘No I’m being serious too.’

The Glades actress then shed further light on what her werewolf training entailed, explaining: ‘We did this werewolf bootcamp one time, because episode six, where the parents come and all the family comes, I had four or five brothers and they really had to get them into the werewolf spirit.

‘So they asked me to come in and do werewolf bootcamp and I was like, “Ok, what does this mean?”’

She continued, stressing: ‘I have never done so much parkour in my life.’

‘It was me running on the floor on all fours, leaping over things. These stunt guys were telling you to be sheep and we would crawl around them in a circle,’ she recalled, as Jimmy and the studio audience laughed.

‘Mum, were you there on set for this?’ Jimmy asked Emma’s mother incredulously, who was also sitting in the audience.

It was recently claimed that there was a possibility of Wednesday season two departing Netflix, despite the enormous success of the Addams Family spin-off.

Nonetheless, this report has since been quashed, with a source assuring IndieWire that a deal has been locked in between Netflix and MGM.

Jenna has expressed her hope for Wednesday and Enid to strike up a romance amid fans shipping the pair, telling Pride: ‘In a perfect world, [Wednesday and Enid] would have been a thing.’

Wednesday is available to watch on Netflix.
