Love Island 2023 announced its line-up for the upcoming winter series in South Africa and posing amongst the romantic hopefuls was none other than TikTok’s shirtless farmer Will Young.

Vlogging his daily life on a Buckinghamshire farm to more than one million viewers, the 23-year-old already has an inkling about what life in the public’s watchful eye is really like.

Will shares content of himself sheering sheep, rescuing animals from muddy puddles, sowing seeds, and building pig pens – all while shirtless and bronzed from his outdoorsy lifestyle.

Posting a behind-the-scenes look at his rural home, the internet star has his followers swooning over him from morning until night.

The viral sensation landed in South Africa ahead of the ITV fixture’s kick-off on January 16 and swapped his signature Barbour jacket for board shorts and a bed in the iconic villa.

Boasting plenty of videos that garnered over a million views, Will’s most loved footage showed him valiantly rescuing a sheep that got stuck in a mud puddle.

He hunkered down next to the animal in shorts and a military green wax jacket and began explaining the situation to his followers.

Revealing he needed to get his hands dirty to tug the sheep free, he climbed into the hole and got to work.

Other clips showed the countryside chap getting up close and personal with farmyard friends as he danced along to his favourite tunes in the middle of the field.

Speaking of his imminent appearance on the nation’s TV screens, the budding reality star said: ‘Having grown up on a farm, it’s been quite difficult juggling relationships and work.

‘Love Island will give me time away from the farm to solely go out and find love.’

He continued to explain: ‘I think I’m at the time of my life where I’m mature enough to go and find a wife.’

Revealing more insights into the type of character viewers can expect to get to know, Will mentioned his spiritual side and how he’ll find his inner calm if the villa becomes too much.

‘Every night I light a candle and meditate for 20-25 minutes.

‘A girl I was seeing told me to meditate, I tried it and loved it. I stopped seeing her and carried on meditating!

‘It’s a nice way to self reflect, taking a minute on my day/ week. It’s really nice and sets me up for a nice sleep.’

The social media content creator also exposed plans he had made following his TV debut, referencing David Attenborough as his inspiration.

Sharing he’d love legendary broadcaster Sir David Attenborough, 96, to play him in a film one day, Will said: ‘Imagine hearing his calming voice talking while he’s feeding the animals, his top off, some short shorts… he would rock it.’

Love Island starts at 9pm on Monday January 16 on ITV2 and ITVX.
