Mango’s faux shearling coat sold out in minutes but here are seven dupes you can get for under £100

MANGO’S Appliqués faux-fur coat was a sell-out in the autumn and after being restocked last week, was snapped up in every size within hours.

Inspired by the £1,850 Totême Leather Trimmed Shearling Jacket; that was all over the fashion crowds’ Instagram, Mango’s alternative was a near perfect match and around £1,750 cheaper.

So it’s little surprise that the hip length, fluffy shearling jacket with its stand out toggle fastenings is no longer available, although we’re hoping to see sizes restocked soon.

If you want to get in on the action, don’t fret because there are plenty of other similar designs on the market from some of our favourite high street retailers.

We’ve found seven alternatives which you can get your hands on right now – and each one is less than £100.

1. Abercrombie & Fitch Sherpa Liner Jacket

Abercrombie & Fitch has travelled a long way from its brash logos and laid back casual wear of the noughties and now produces chic, cool and affordable pieces like this jacket.

It has a fluffy exterior with a green trim over the buttons, pockets and cuffs for some contrast and the open round neck makes it perfect for wearing with turtle necks.

2. ASOS DESIGN borg oversized shawl collar aviator jacket

A fluffy aviator jacket combines cosy with rock and roll especially when paired with leather trousers and biker boots.

The seams are highlighted with black faux leather with is what gives this oversized jacket an edge.

3. New Look Cream Borg Funnel Neck Zip Jacket

Drawing on the shearling element of the original Mango jacket, this fluffy bomber style from New Look is both cosy and wearable.

We would style this with some wide fit blue jeans and low heeled cowboy boots.

4. BDG Borg & Faux Suede Reversible Jacket

This reversible jacket is so similar to the Mango shearling coat (and less expensive), with it’s fluffy exterior and big chunky buttons.

It’s oversized and relaxed and if you don’t fancy wearing it wooly side out, then turn it inside out and you’ve got a suede jacket instead. Two for the price of one.

5. UGG Frankie shearling trucker jacket

PSA: UGG doesn’t just do super warm boots, it also uses its cosy styles to create jacekts.

It’s a relaxed fit that we would wear with leggings and a cap for a fashionable winter walk.

A slightly different design to the Mango version but of the same ilk, this boxy shearling jacket from Weekday is the epitome of cool.

It comes in three colours, and is available in sizes XS to XL.

7. DAZY Slant Pocket Borg Collar Teddy Lined Suedette Coat

For a real bargain, you can’t go too wrong with Shein.

With a faux suede exterior, big buttons and a shearling interior, collar and cuffs, this has cosy written all over it.
