Her investigator skills may not have seen her make it all the way to the end of The Traitors, but Maddy Smedley is on the case again, this time turning her attention towards the Teletubbies.

The actress and care home receptionist was a break-out star of the recent BBC reality series and while she struggled to convince her fellow contestants of her theories, she’s not letting it stop her now.

Maddy Marple – as she dubbed herself – was banished before her theory about Wilfred Webster being a Traitor could be proved, but now she’s got some other elusive characters in her sights.

While attending RuPaul’s Drag Con in London over the weekend, Maddy was making her way around the event when she filmed herself alongside two of the Teletubbies and made sure her fans knew where she believed their loyalties lay.

Pointing at Po, she dubbed her a Faithful, while Laa-Laa was declared a Traitor, however, Maddy did caption the video saying she was ‘only joking’ about putting Laa-Laa in the firing line.

Fans couldn’t get enough, with one commenting on her TikTok post: ‘Imagine banishing a Teletubbie.’

Another pointed out that ‘Wilf must be in the yellow costume’.

Someone else put their faith in Maddy, writing that: ‘I’m crying. You have such a gift of knowing who the Traitors are I believe you 100%’.

However, another person made a good point.

Maddy also said on social media that despite her best efforts she hadn’t been able to catch up with Tinky Winky and Dipsy, but had her suspicions about the former.

‘Massive Traitor,’ she wrote on Twitter.

Before being cast on The Traitors, Maddy appeared in episodes of EastEnders and Casualty.

In EastEnders she played a homeless woman named Rita, with her episode airing in May 2021.

Meanwhile, her character on Casualty was ‘someone without a womb’.

Since leaving the reality show Maddy has kept people pretty entertained, recently also sharing some sketches she made in lockdown.

In one sketch, she pretended to be a call centre worker working for a food company, but used plenty of colourful language when imagining what most people working in customer service must go through.

The Traitors is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
