Gordon Ramsay has got Next Level Chef viewers begging for another series of the new ITV cooking competition, even though only one episode has aired so far.
The series – which originally began in the US – sees a range of contestants compete on different floors of a three-storey kitchen as they try to impress the judges Gordon, Paul Ainsworth and Nyesha Arrington.
The eight part series follows 12 aspiring chefs put through their paces as they whip up a whole host of dishes across three kitchen levels, spread out to test the contestants’ culinary creativity, agility, flare, and expertise, as they vie to progress to the Next Level.
Throughout the course of the programme, the cooks will be mentored by experts Gordon, Paul, and Nyesha, as they compete to win a £100,000 prize.
During an intense first episode, viewers saw the 12 contestants split into their three times, discover who they were being mentored by and face their first challenges.
And while salivating at some of the dishes produced, viewers are totally hooked.

‘Then you work up to this semi-decent kitchen, and then 20 years later, you build this state-of-the-art kitchen, and that’s how the idea for this was born.
‘They’re cooking what they’re grabbing and by the time we get to the basement, there are minimal ingredients, but that’s where you find out the most about yourself. This is about bringing the best out of individuals.’
Next Level Chef airs Wednesday at 9pm on ITV.
