Shakira’s humiliation of her ex Gerard Pique and his 23-year-old girlfriend Clara Chia has been laid bare with the release of the Colombian’s new song.

The singer-songwriter, making it crystal clear she is referring to the lover her former partner is rumoured to have started dating last year before they split, says: ‘I’m worth two 22’s.

‘You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.’

In an apparent brutal dig at the former Manchester United and Barcelona defender, Shakira sings: ‘A lot of gyms.

‘But work your brain a little bit too.’

In another part of her collaboration with Argentine DJ Bizarrap, real name Gonzalo Julian Conde, Shakira makes another clear allusion to Barcelona-born Clara with the lyrics: ‘She’s got the name of a good person.

‘Clearly is not how it sounds.’

The song, called Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol 53 has only been released in Spanish so far.

‘Clearly’ in English translates as ‘Claramente’ in Spanish, making the reference to Pique’s new girlfriend Clara, one fans picked up on straightaway following the song’s worldwide release overnight.

Elsewhere Shakira, who is facing a £12million tax fraud trial in Spain, sings: ‘You left me the mother-in-law as a neighbour.

‘With the press at my door and a debt with the taxman.

‘You thought you’d hurt me and I came back stronger.

‘Women don’t cry any more, women invoice.’

Another part of the song says: ‘From love to hate there’s only one step,’ before Shakira adds: ‘No hard feelings baby, I wish you the best with my supposed replacement.’

Only a small part of the lyrics had been leaked online ahead of the world release, referencing a part of the song where the 45-year-old mum-of-two sings: ‘I’m too big for you, that’s why you’re with someone just like me,’ before continuing: ‘I’m not coming back to you, even if you’re crying or begging.’

She also used another play-on-words in Spanish with the word ’salpique’ in a clear reference to her ex, singing ‘I only make music, sorry that I splash you’, which in Spanish is ‘Yo solo hago música perdón que te salpique’.

Pique, who fathered two sons with Shakira during their 11-year relationship, appeared to respond to the poisoned darts thrown in his and his new partner’s direction ahead of the song’s full release with a tweet featuring circus emoticons.

And Spanish Internet celebrity and streamer Ibai Llanos, who has gone into business with the retired defender with a new competition called The Kings League, reacted online after watching Shakira performing the new song on YouTube by admitting: ‘I’m shocked. I wasn’t expecting this.’

He went on to joke: ‘Pique hasn’t been inside a gym in his f*****g life. I understand the song and it packs some punches but the truth is that this son of a b***h has been in a gym less than me.’

Shakira had already appeared to attack her ex in a song she released in October called Monotonia, Monotony in English, with references to the ‘narcissism’ and ‘cold as Christmas’ attitude of a man she is breaking up with.

In the video for that song, a mystery man who fans have claimed is a representation of Pique, shoots a hole in Shakira’s heart as she stocks up with snacks during a late-night trip to the supermarket.

The Colombian went on to write a New Year post on Instagram about betrayal and heartache, winning support from Lionel Messi’s wife Antonela Roccuzzo who responded to her dig at her ex with three heart emoji.

Music fans are responding to her latest song with comments like: ‘I think Shakira is still a little fired up.’

Another added: ‘I feel sorry for the children. They’re the only ones who come out hurt in all of this.’

Shakira’s split from Pique became the soap opera of the summer in Spain and elsewhere as their chosen careers took a back seat to lurid reports about their private life.

They announced they had split last May following unconfirmed claims Pique, 35, was cheating on his long-term partner with a younger woman.

The former footballer’s relationship with Clara emerged shortly after he and Shakira confirmed they were no longer an item.

The Colombian artist is due to move to Miami with their sons Milan, nine, and Sasha, seven, later this year.

She was expected to make the move earlier this month but had to postpone her plans because of the health of her ailing 91-year-old dad who was hospitalised in Barcelona.

Pique will get to see his children during holiday times as part of a child custody agreement the couple signed at court in the Catalan capital late last year.
