Emma Jones, a presenter for BBC Sport, has discovered that there have been catfish online using her pictures to pose as her on dating sites.

In posts shared on her Instagram Story, she emphasised to her 377,000 followers that it wasn’t actually her behind the profiles – pointing out that one had made a huge discrepancy when it came to her age.

Emma, who works on MOTDx as well as Viaplay Sports, was sent screenshots of fake accounts that were reportedly using her photos on a website called Uberf***y.

The presenter shut down any speculation that she had any part in their creation, while also expressing confusion over the site itself.

‘I am also on Uberf***y,’ she wrote alongside two crying emojis according to MailOnline, which described the site as being ‘X-rated’.

She added: ‘What is an uberf***y? I don’t want to Google it.’

The dating site is a platform that reportedly caters for ‘users to meet local singles’.

That wasn’t the only finding Emma made, as she also found out a profile had been set up on Tinder using her profile.

While the account was using her correct name, the age on the bio was inaccurate, claiming that she was 44.

In her caption, Emma playfully gave the name a green tick emoji, while giving a middle finger and a cry-laughing emoji to the age claim.

In September last year, the presenter shared a photo of herself in a dazzling, full-length dress while standing on a rugby pitch in her heels.

Thank you to the overwhelming majority of you who have called out the few misogynists & dinosaurs in the replies to this. Unfortunately it’s usually those people who shout the loudest.

She later issued a message to trolls who had targeted her with derogatory messages, saying that she wanted to share the picture because she ‘felt lovely’ in her gown.

‘Thank you to the overwhelming majority of you who have called out the few misogynists & dinosaurs in the replies to this. Unfortunately it’s usually those people who shout the loudest,’ she said at the time.

Fellow sports presenter Laura Woods responded: ‘What some people don’t get is…you’re allowed to be both! You’re smart and you’re beautiful. One shouldn’t and doesn’t cancel out the other.

‘I absolutely love seeing other people’s glams, women AND men. And if you stopped posting them I’d be pretty disappointed tbh.’
