Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz is leaving his child acting career behind to realise his ‘dream’ of becoming a full-time NASCAR racer.
The 37-year-old soared to fame in the 00s sitcom, which starred Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston as his father, and followed a dysfunctional family living in an American suburb.
The star later went on to feature in films including Big Fat Liar and Agent Cody Bank as a teenager and has clocked up more recent roles in The Black String and New Amsterdam.
Outside of acting, Frankie appeared as a contestant in Dancing with the Stars and as the host of the junior edition of the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off.
However, despite his illustrious on-screen career, the Stuck on You actor’s real passion is with car racing, having driven the pace car for event Daytona 500 back in 2001.
Since then he has competed in a slew of competitions across the world, including entering in fourteen races during the Formula BMW USA season.

On Thursday, the delighted former actor announced that he had accepted a full-time gig as a racer, sharing a video of his highlights in the front seat over the years.
He wrote: ‘Finally making my dream a reality, this one is for my son and showing him that you can always chase your dreams.
‘Excited for this opportunity with Rette Jones Racing, Ford, and our partners to go full time racing for an ARCA National Series Championship in 2023.’

The sweet couple, who tied the knot in 2020, announced they were expecting a baby with a heartfelt video.
‘In the past four and a half years Paige and I have experienced so many incredible things together,’ the actor said in the clip.
