Gemma Owen was spotted back in the saddle as she returned to compete in a dressage competition in Leicestershire.

The Love Island star was at Vale View Equestrian on Saturday and appeared to be in her element once again following her split from ex-boyfriend Luca Bish

Riding her horse Sirius Black III, the brunette reportedly placed sixth out of 23 competitors and is said to be heading back into the arena on Sunday.

Checking out her rivals, the reality star was also seen sitting in the stands with her mum Louise Bonsall, 41, as the pair watched the other horses and riders in the event space.

Gemma looked the part in white jodhpurs, a black hoodie and padded black coat that she paired with knee high brown boots.

Keeping it casual, she swept her long dark locks up into a messy bun on top of her head as she spent the day at the arena.

A member of the public also at the event told SWNS: ‘She came sixth place yesterday out of 23 riders but she’s competing again today.

‘She seemed relaxed and happy – I think she was having a good time.’

The sighting came after the star’s fellow islander and ex-partner Luca Bish returned to social media following their split in November.

Luca, 23, explained that he needed time off the platforms to deal with ‘things going in my personal life’ before booting them up again.

Uploading an emotional video, the Love Island star said: ‘Merry Christmas, merry New Year. I’m back, I ain’t been feeling myself.

‘I had a few things going on in my personal life and family life and wanted to stay away from socials and not fake it and be around the people that are there for me.

‘I know you guys are and that’s why I’m trying to make an effort now.

‘It’s an exciting year.

‘There’s going to be lots going on and I promise I’m going to be more active so yeah, here’s to 2023.’

In a separate video posted by the show’s latest winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu, 28, Luca was caught getting cosy with a mystery blonde at a New Year’s Eve party, weeks after his public breakup unfolded.
