Despite winning Love Island in 2018, Jack Fincham finds it hard to watch the ITV2 show these days.

The former pen salesman, 31, stormed to victory on the fourth series alongside his then-girlfriend Dani Dyer, 26, with the couple later splitting in April 2019.

While Jack will be tuning in to see this year’s batch of singletons try and find love in the South African villa, he admits it won’t be easy.

‘It’s mad, it’s hard for me to watch…,’ he said while appearing at The Last Heist premiere.

‘I know [how] things are done. So, I’m like “I bet that took four hours”, like the challenges and stuff taking ages, but I love the show, I love it.’

He continued to The Sun: ‘I was a fan, a massive fan of it. I’ve always watched it.

After splitting from ex Dani, Jack went on to welcome a baby daughter, Blossom in 2020 with former partner Casey Ranger.

Meanwhile, Dani welcomed a son, Santiago, in 2021, with her ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence.

Love Island returns tonight with its winter series for the first time since the pandemic.

The new edition, which is also being hosted by radio DJ Maya Jama for the first time since being announced as Laura Whitmore’s replacement, will see 10 islanders entering the villa on Monday night.

Among the contestants are the first partially sighted islander, Ron Hall, Owen Warner’s ex-girlfriend Lana Jenkins, and actress Olivia Hawkins, 27, who was in No Time To Die alongside Daniel Craig.

Love Island starts tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
