Love Island star Kai Fagan won’t shy away from the show’s saucy challenges despite being a teacher.

The 24-year-old will be making his villa debut, which sees Maya Jama take over as host from Laura Whitmore, alongside make-up artist Lana Jenkins and the show’s first-ever partially sighted contestant Ron Hall.

The annual dating series has seen its fair share of raunchy moments, and Kai revealed that he’s ready to get stuck on.

His students might have to look away though.

When asked about how far he’ll flirt with the girls, he said: ‘I can’t say right now whether I’m going to… I feel like after a while of being in the villa, you probably forget that you’re getting recorded. If stuff happens, stuff happens, doesn’t it.’

Addressing whether his potential antics might affect his career as a PE teacher, Kai believes his time on the show won’t be an issue.

‘I can’t really necessarily say for definite, because if it is teaching, there are hundreds and thousands of opportunities and we’re in a recruitment crisis at the minute,’ he added.

‘If I can demonstrate I’m a good enough teacher, then probably not.’

We won’t have long to wait and see how Kai gets on with the ladies, as the show kicks off in a matter of hours, and we wonder if a recent revelation will stun his fellow islanders.

Chatting to Metro.co.uk and other press, he shared that him and footballer Marcus Rashford went to the same school.

Speaking about how things stand between them now, Kai said: ‘No, I’m not still in touch with him.

‘I was in the same class as him from years 7 to 11, we went to the same sixth form, it was a really small sixth form.

We grew up in the same area, I bump into people and I go to the gym with a few of his close mates but we’re not in direct contact with each other.’

Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
