Love Island fans stunned over Haris Namani’s ‘ridiculous’ dating rule: ‘He’s going to have a difficult time’-Ruth Lawes-Entertainment – Metro

Love Island viewers were completely shocked by Haris Namani’s rather specific turn-off for potential partners.

The 21-year-old is among the fresh batch of Islanders looking for love in the plush South African villa for the winter edition of the ITV juggernaut series.

Ahead of the show’s launch, which is being presented by Maya Jama for the first time, the salesman told Metro.co.uk and other publications he was looking to ‘find the right girl’, saying he was ‘more into brunettes than blondes.’

But on Monday’s premiere of the long-running reality TV show, he elaborated on his dream woman further, revealing he had one dating rule.

While getting to know the contestants, the Celebrity Juice panelist asked: ‘Harris, are you a relationship kinda guy,’ to which he responded: ‘I’ve never been in a relationship so it’s a hard one for me.’

‘And any turn-offs?’, the 28-year-old continued, with Harris immediately replying: ‘Size five feet.

The Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-up Star jumped in: ‘Well I’m out of limits, I’m a size six and a half, it’s not gonna happen.

‘You can’t be that strict down to the foot size! Well, I think I’ve found out enough.’ 

And Maya wasn’t the only one to have been taken aback by the remark, with dozens of Love Island fans flocking to Twitter to comment on the ‘ridiculous’ turn-off.

‘Can’t have a shoe size over five?? I forgot how ridiculous people on this show are,’ one viewer lamented.

‘Size 5 feet max? I think the average women’s foot size is around 7 or 8. He’s going to have a difficult time,’ another penned, while a third added: ‘I’m sorry do u know how small size 5 actually is that’s wild.’

Many other social media accounts revealed that they wore shoes larger than a size five and wondered why Haris wasn’t into bigger feet.

Haris, from Doncaster, coupled up with Anna-May Robey, a payroll administrator from Swansea, in the first episode.

However, Anna-May had originally picked Kai Fagan, a PE and science teacher from Manchester, who was ‘stolen’ from her by Olivia Hawkins, 27.

In a twist, Kai admitted to fancying Tanyel Revan, a hair stylist from North London, and coupled up with her instead, leaving Olivia with Will Young.
