WWE looks to be bringing back Hurt Business as Omos helped Bobby Lashley with a high stakes main event on Raw.

The Nigerian Giant made his presence felt a couple of times on Monday night’s show as MVP’s associate left his mark and gave the assist for the All Mighty in a Six-Pack Challenge.

Earlier in the night, MVP came out to try to (unsuccessfully) help Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander in their match against the Street Profits, but Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford got the win.

Cedric and Shelton didn’t look happy after the bell, but the Hurt Business hype is still building, particularly after a run-in between MVP and Elias led to the latter facing Omos.

The towering star smashed the troubadour’s guitar and made quick work of their match, and his night wasn’t done as he made his presence felt in the main event.

An elimination match was set to find Austin Theory’s challenger for the United States Championship next week on the Raw XXX 30th anniversary show.

After The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Finn Balor and Baron Corbin were eliminated, we were left with Seth Rollins and Lashley, and Omos’ involvement sparked a lot of chaos with Theory himself getting involved.

In the end, Lashley was able to use the distraction to hit the Visionary with a Spear for a huge win.

Uncle Howdy helps Alexa Bliss, Cody Rhodes confirms Royal Rumble return and more

The show started with The Usos and Solo Sikoa coming out to address their attack on Kevin Owens, while they also announced some big plans for next week’s Raw XXX anniversary show.

As well as The Usos defending their Raw Tag Team Titles against The Judgment Day, there will also be an acknowledgement ceremony for Roman Reigns with every generation of The Bloodline – which could include Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – coming together.

They were interrupted by Judgment Day, sparking a brawl which led to an epic stand-off between Rhea Ripley and Sikoa, but Mustafa Ali leaped in from the top rope with the attack, leading to our opening match.

KO came out to scrap with Jimmy and Jey Uso which gave Ali a window of opportunity, but in the send Sikoa got the win with the Samoan Spike – although he was immediately taken out with a Stunner.

The latest Cody Rhodes recovery video package officially announced his return for the Royal Rumble, which would’ve been a fantastic surprise but still builds up some hype from the event.

Becky Lynch and Bayley exchanged some words, playing nicely off their long history together as members of the Four Horsewomen, which all led to them setting up a huge Steel Cage Match next week with no Damage CTRL to back up the Role Model.

In an entertaining match with a strange dynamic, two teams of villains clashed with Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest getting the win over Alpha Academy.

Despite the best efforts of Chad Gable and Otis, Rhea Ripley provided a distraction which led to solid win for next week’s title challengers.

With Candice LeRae by her side, Mia Yim picked up a decent win over Damage CTRL’s Iyo Sky, while Bronson Reed looked fantastic in a dominating victory over Akira Tozawa.

In between those bouts, Bianca Belair and Alexa Bliss clashed on the mic with the EST offering to put her Raw Women’s Title on the line at the Royal Rumble, which Bliss was all for.

They ended up fighting at ringside and through the arena until Uncle Howdy halted Belair’s momentum, allowing Bliss to hit a huge DDT – although she didn’t seem best pleased with the spooky interference.

WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
