She maintains that she needed to nix the shirt due to feeling overheated during a workout.
“My mom said it’s inappropriate to run outside in just a sports bra,” she wrote over the video.
She donned a multicolored sports bra and black workout leggings.
Lavin revealed that despite her mother’s wishes, she wears less clothing in the hotter months.
“I don’t wear a single shirt from June to October,” she shared.
The runner had some choice words for her mother’s sartorial critiques in the caption of the video.
“It’s inappropriate to be hot as f**k, mom,” she wrote.
