Lewis Capaldi was forced to stop singing after a fight broke out during his Manchester gig this week.
The Scottish star was left stunned after the alleged tiff broke out on Wednesday, in which a woman was escorted from the AO Arena to booing crowds.
Lewis was midway through singing Hold Me While You Wait when he was forced to stop and turn the floor lights on so security could work out what was going on.
The 26-year-old singer said: ‘They are scrapping in the crowd there. Erm, we are
going to have to get them out. We can’t be fighting.’
He added, referring to his power ballad: ‘What a weird song to fight to. Bizarre, bizarre.’
Supporting the singer, the crowd began to chant, ‘Oh Lewis Capaldi’, to get him going again.
Lewis’ Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent tour kicked off in Leeds on January 14, and is on the road around the whole of the UK for the rest of the month.

Although Lewis brings sincerity to his performances of what are often gutsy, heartfelt love songs, he’s almost just as famous for being a massive joker.
The tour has been pretty eventful so far, as a fight also broke out on his opening gig in Leeds – the same night a bra was thrown at him on stage.
With the crowd egging him on as they chanted, ‘put it on, put it on’, the Someone You Loved hitmaker donned the grey bra, leaving the Leeds First Direct Arena howling with laughter.
‘This is padded, someone out there is a f*****g liar,’ Capaldi joked.

And it gets more bizarre yet, as the Grace singer’s Sheffield gig proved to be even more memorable: it too involved underwear.
This time though, the singer was pelted with some large white Y-fronts bearing the words: ‘Call for fun time Big Boy.’
On the back, along with a phone number, they also read: ‘She’s a freaky girl!’
Unable to resist the comedic value, Lewis, once again, wore the underwear – over his trousers, of course.

You wouldn’t think it from these stories, but off stage and away from doting fans Lewis has admitted his stardom has actually made finding love more complicated.
Speaking to Steven Bartlett on the Diary of a CEO podcast, Lewis shared: ‘At the end of the day, I’m still 25 and people talk about a power imbalance of someone being famous.
‘I’m trying to work that out as well because I don’t want to use my fame, or for that to have any influence over someone I’m dating.

‘What, am I only supposed to date people who are famous? That’s a really weird thing.
‘I’ll admit being on Tinder is a bit weird but I met my last girlfriend on Tinder and she’s f***ing great.’
