Mimi Webb isn’t the least bit surprised she is in the running for a Brit award – she says she manifested it.

Last week, Mimi found out she is nominated for best new artist alongside Sam Ryder, Wet Leg, Rina Sawayama and Kojey Radical.

In an exclusive interview with Guilty Pleasures, she explained the Brit nod is due to manifestation – the self-help exercise in which thoughts become reality through visualisation boards.

‘I’ve manifested it so many times now – all last year, meditating, manifesting, everything,’ said
the rising star, 22.

‘I’ll literally picture going up, the whole walk to the stage, how I’m going to do it, don’t fall over, running through it in my head.’ What else is in Mimi’s destiny from her board?

‘America is definitely on there. It’s such a big deal for me. To be able to break out in the US is the dream
of all dreams,’ she shared.

‘Also my No.1 album. I want to get a No.1 single.’

The singer-songwriter, from Canterbury, will be hoping to reach pole position with her latest single Red Flags, from debut album Amelia, out on March 3. The track was inspired by a recent romance in which she chose to ignore warning signs, ‘but you only really see that once you’re out of it’.

Mimi added: ‘I was just dodging any red flag. We all have a relationship like that we have to learn from.’ The Brit Awards, with Mastercard, are at the O2 in London on February 11.
