Circa Waves have announced that, due to illness, their entire UK tour has been rescheduled, with all key dates now taking place in the summer.
The Liverpool indie rock band, who have scored four top 20 albums in the UK charts, were initially going to head on the road in February.
However, all major dates for the tour have been pushed to June as frontman Kieran Shudhall recovers from a short illness on doctor’s orders.
The four-piece, who formed in 2013, are best known for their songs T-Shirt Weather and Movies, which charted in the UK and Europe.
In a statement, Shudhall apologised to fans for the postponement but insisted he couldn’t perform, despite making every effort to do so.
‘I’m afraid to say that my health is still not good and hasn’t improved considerably over the last week,’ he said.

Shudhall was diagnosed with viral pericarditis earlier this month, an infection that causes the fluid-filled sac around the heart (pericardium) to become enflamed.
The statement continued: ‘I’ve been in and out of hospital having further checks and have been recommended to rest for another two weeks.’
Rescheduled dates for Circa Waves tour:
June 2023
8th – KK’s Steel Mill, Wolverhampton
9th – O2 Academy Brixton, London
10th – Rock City, Nottingham
12th – O2 Academy 1, Oxford

15th – NX, Newcastle

‘It’s not a decision I’ve taken lightly but we have no choice but to re-schedule the UK tour to June. I’m so sorry about this.’
The band also acknowledged their fans who will have already made travel arrangements for the concerts and have been left searching for refunds.
‘We appreciate some of you would have already made travel arrangements – we hope you understand the predicament where health must come first.’
